🌱 North Shore Stables – Malama Hawaii Shoreline Restoration Tour

Join a unique eco-tour that lets you give back to the land and ocean while exploring Oahu’s beautiful North Shore. On this 45-minute hands-on experience, you’ll learn how native Hawaiian plants help protect coastlines from erosion and rebuild sand dunes naturally. Led by knowledgeable guides, you’ll discover the vital role of these plants and their intricate root systems in preserving Hawaii’s shoreline ecosystem.

Choose a plant from the greenhouse at North Shore Stables and personally plant it along the shoreline as part of ongoing restoration efforts. Proceeds from this tour are donated to the nonprofit Friends of Akiana Bay, which supports native shoreline restoration projects. Participants also receive a tax-deductible letter and a one-year family membership with the organization.

Waikiki Roundtrip Transportation:
Roundtrip transportation from Waikiki area hotels is available for an additional fee. There are two scheduled Waikiki transfers each day. The first transfer departs Waikiki at 6:20 am and returns to Waikiki by approximately 10:45 am. The second transfer will leave Waikiki at 12:00 pm and return to Waikiki by about 4:15 pm. There is a minimum of two passengers required to book roundtrip transportation from Waikiki.
Restrictions
Children must be at least 2 years old to participate in this tour.
Children (2-9 years) are free.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian.
No power tools or machinery.
Special Notes
Garden or working gloves are provided.
Cold drinking water is provided. Please bring a water bottle.
Restrooms are available.
