Hawaii's Royal History Adventure
Step back in time on this exciting adventure as we visit the historic highlights of the Kingdom of Hawaii. We travel into the lush Nuuanu Valley and make our first stop at Queen Emma’s Summer Palace. Next, we drive through a tropical rainforest on our way to the world famous Pali Lookout where King Kamehameha the Great defeated the forces of Oahu and Maui in 1795. After driving through a spectacular tree-tunnel we arrive at Hawaii’s sacred Royal Mausoleum,"Mauna ‘Ala", the final resting place of 6 of the kingdom’s last 8 ruling monarchs.
We also visit the legendary King Kamehameha’s statue, historic sites and grounds surrounding Iolani Palace, and unique Kawaiahao Church, "the Westminster Abbey of Hawaii", built from thousand-pound coral slabs.
