Oahu Real Sacred Excursion
Guests will visit several of the most ancient and sacred spots in Hawaii on this very popular excusion. As an added bonus, guests may actually do a mini “circle island” tour (weather permitting), as they will be taken almost completely around the island in this tour. The Polynesian guide will explain – both as a native, and as a teacher – each of these sites and what makes them so sacred to the Hawaiians.
The ancient gods of Hawaii deemed specific places in the islands to be sacred. These locations are known as wahi pana or the sacred places of Hawaii. These include such areas as the dwelling places of their gods and their disciples, selected observation points, petroglyphs, volcanoes, cliffs, heiau, and many more. See the Ko’olau Mountains with caves, the most sacred of all burial sites. Visit Royal Birthing Stones, Heiaus petroglyphs, and ancient fishponds.
