Hawaii Sport Fishing - Oahu Boom Boom Sportfishing
The Waianae Coast is one of the Hawaiian Island's most abundant fishing grounds. Known for its relatively calm deep waters, the coast has 3 FAD (Fish Aggregation Devices) located close to Shore which brings some very big pelagic fish near the island.
Pelagic fish include marlin, mahimahi (dolphinfish), ahi (yellowfin tuna), and ono (wahoo). Leaving from Waianae means that you spend your day in prime fishing waters not boat-riding to and from them.
The Boat: The Boom Boom (Waianae Departure) is a 40 foot custom Rybovich design, Funai built Sportfisher. Powered by twin Detroit-Diesel 230 hp engines.
